FAA Noise and Emissions Requirements for Changes to Type Design. (a) Any determination of an acoustical or emissions change, regardless if the type design change is major or minor, requires further demonstration of compliance. The FAA will follow the procedures in paragraph 2.9.1 when making findings of acoustical or emissions change under 14 CFR 21.93(b) & (c).
