Common use of Faculty Appearance before the Board of Trustees Clause in Contracts

Faculty Appearance before the Board of Trustees. Any faculty member may submit to the College President in writing an item to be placed on the agenda of the Board of Trustees meeting for the purpose of expressing personal or collective faculty viewpoints provided: A. The written request is received by the Office of the College President at least ten (10) working days prior to the scheduled Board meeting; B. The written request specifies the subject to be discussed; C. The subject to be discussed is not a proper subject for collective negotiations; D. The subject to be discussed is not subject to the Grievance Procedure, as described in Article 13. The maximum time allowed for presentation of views on any one subject shall be two (2) minutes. The time limit for the discussion of any one item may be extended by the Board. However, the number of subjects to be discussed shall not preclude the expeditious consideration of other items on the agenda by the Board.

(2) The written request specifies the subject to be discussed; C. (3) The subject to be discussed is not a proper subject for collective negotiations; D. (4) The subject to be discussed is not subject to the Grievance Procedure, as described in Article 13. 8; (5) The maximum time allowed for presentation of views on any one subject shall be two five (25) minutes.
