Faculty Members' Research Activities. The above provisions will not be used in a punitive manner against those faculty Members who opt to remain on Schedule B and who were employed on or before 17 March 2000 whose research activities are not being currently maintained at the appropriate level, but this deficiency will be taken into account in the consideration of such faculty Members for tenure, promotion, or other matters covered by this Agreement where appropriate research is a factor required to be taken into account.
