Faculty Members - Special Eligibility. The following faculty members are also eligible to participate in the Group Insurance Program: a. Faculty Members with Work-related Injury/Disability. A faculty member who was off the State payroll due to a work-related injury or a work-related disability may continue to participate in the Group Insurance Program as long as such a faculty member receives workers’ compensation payments or while the workers’ compensation claim is pending. b. Totally Disabled Faculty Members. Consistent with Minnesota Statutes §62A.148, certain totally disabled faculty members may continue to participate in the Group Insurance Program.
