Faculty Professional Development Fund. (1) Purpose The Faculty Professional Development Fund is in support of various types of professional development activities. Such professional development is for the maintenance and development of the faculty members’ professional competence and effectiveness. The purpose is to assist faculty to remain current and active in their discipline and program. The Fund is not meant to replace any existing development or educational funds.

Faculty Professional Development Fund. This program will be open to all members of the faculty who fulfill the qualifications noted below, and applications will be made in writing, setting forth the details of the proposed course of study for which the grant is requested.

  • Professional Development Fund A budget item equal to one-half (½) of one (1) percent of employees' salaries shall be set aside annually to be used to:

  • Professional Development Funds 23.1.1 Two Professional Development Funds, a Professional Development Support Fund and an Education Leave Fund, shall be established to support professional development activities as defined in 23.2. It is agreed that maintenance of currency of subject knowledge, the improvement of performance of faculty duties, and the maintenance and improvement of professional competence, including instructional skills, are the primary professional development activities of faculty members.

  • Professional Development Committee There shall be a Professional Development Committee composed of two (2) members of the Association one of whom shall be the Bargaining Unit President or designate and two (2) representatives of the Hospital one of whom shall be the Chief Nursing Officer or designate and one human resources representative.

  • Continuing Professional Development 30.1.7 If, during the life of the Agreement, Continuing Professional Development (CPD) is introduced for plumbers, all time spent in complying with the CPD obligations will be the responsibility of each plumber.

  • Professional Development Leave A. Policy. Professional development leave shall be made available to employees who meet the requirements set forth below. Such leaves are granted to increase an employee's value to the University through enhanced opportunities for professional renewal, educational travel, study, formal education, research, writing, or other experience of professional value, not as a reward for service.
