Faculty Professional Development Fund. This program will be open to all members of the faculty who fulfill the qualifications noted below, and applications will be made in writing, setting forth the details of the proposed course of study for which the grant is requested.

Faculty Professional Development Fund. (1) Purpose The Faculty Professional Development Fund is in support of various types of professional development activities. Such professional development is for the maintenance and development of the faculty membersprofessional competence and effectiveness. The purpose is to assist faculty to remain current and active in their discipline and program. The Fund is not meant to replace any existing development or educational funds.
Faculty Professional Development Fund. A. The District will budget $40,000 per Academic Year for a Faculty Professional Development Fund. These funds will be for Faculty professional development.

  • Professional Development Fund A budget item equal to one-half (½) of one (1) percent of employees' salaries shall be set aside annually to be used to:

  • Professional Development Funds 23.1.1 Two Professional Development Funds, a Professional Development Support Fund and an Education Leave Fund, shall be established to support professional development activities as defined in 23.2.   • Professional Development Program (a) The parties agree to continue a Professional Development Program for the maintenance and development of the faculty members' professional competence and effectiveness. It is agreed that maintenance of currency of subject knowledge, the improvement of performance of faculty duties, and the maintenance and improvement of professional competence, including instructional skills, are the primary professional development activities of faculty members.

  • Professional Development Committee There shall be a Professional Development Committee composed of two (2) members of the Association one of whom shall be the Bargaining Unit President or designate and two (2) representatives of the Hospital one of whom shall be the Chief Nursing Officer or designate and one human resources representative.

  • Professional Development Activities Professional development activities are activities initiated by individual faculty members or groups of faculty members and may include attendance at conferences, workshops or seminars which facilitate the following:

  • Professional Development Leave A. Policy. Professional development leave shall be made available to employees who meet the requirements set forth below. Such leaves are granted to increase an employee's value to the University through enhanced opportunities for professional renewal, educational travel, study, formal education, research, writing, or other experience of professional value, not as a reward for service.

  • Professional Development Day The Employees shall be entitled to spend three (3) working days with pay for the purpose of doing research and preparation related to their work at a date mutually acceptable to the Employer and the Employee.
