Common use of Failure to Ratify Clause in Contracts

Failure to Ratify. If either party shall refuse to ratify the agreement reached by the negotiating teams, the rejecting party shall state in writing to the other party the reasons for its rejection. Said notification of failure to ratify shall result in prompt resumption of negotiations by the teams. When both teams approve the negotiated agreement or amendment(s) thereto, the same shall be resubmitted for ratification. Upon receipt of notice of ratification by the Association, the Board shall at its next official meeting take action.
