Common use of Federal Restrictions Clause in Contracts

Federal Restrictions. The following restrictions apply to all subject data first produced in the performance of the Grant Agreement or Cooperative Agreement for the Project: (1) Except for its own internal use, the Recipient may not publish or reproduce subject data in whole or in part, or in any manner or form, nor may the Recipient authorize others to do so, without the written consent of the Federal Government, unless the Federal Government has previously released or approved the release of such data to the public. (2) The restrictions on publication of Subsection 18.b(1) of this Master Agreement, however, do not apply to a Grant Agreement or Cooperative Agreement with an institution of higher learning.
