Common use of Fertilization of Planted Beds Clause in Contracts

Fertilization of Planted Beds. Application of fertilizer will be at the request by the County only and in accordance with the manufacturer's instructions and Orange County Ordinance 2022-03. All planted beds shall be fertilized in accordance with the manufacturer’s instructions. The soil pH shall be appropriately adjusted to maintain a healthy and vigorous growing condition. Fertilizer shall be balanced, containing trace elements with a minimum of thirty percent (30%) slow release nitrogen applied at the rate of three and one half (3.5) pounds per one hundred (100) square feet. For the purpose of this contract, planted bed fertilization will be performed three (3) times during the maintenance period, during the months of March, June and September. The cost for fertilization of the planted shall be included in the price bid for maintenance of planted beds.
