Filing of Formal Charges. If attempts at resolution of the problem fail at the informal level, and the Xxxxxxx decides to proceed, he or she shall make a formal recommendation for dismissal of the individual concerned and shall give written notice to the individual employee and to the FSU, stating the explicit charge against the employee. The written notice shall be given within ninety days after the Administration becomes aware of the matters giving rise to the charge, but this period may be extended for an additional thirty days in order to conduct the informal resolution process.
