Common use of Financial Management and City Access Clause in Contracts

Financial Management and City Access. Contractor shall keep full and detailed accounts and exercise such controls as may be necessary for proper financial management under this Construction Contract in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles and practices consistently applied. City and City's accountants shall be afforded access at all times during normal business hours, to inspect, audit and copy Contractor's records, books, estimates, take- offs, cost reports, ledgers, schedules, correspondence, instructions, drawings, receipts, subcontracts, purchase orders, vouchers, memoranda and other data relating to this Project, and Contractor shall preserve these for a period of three (3) years after the later of (i) final payment or (ii) final resolution of all Contract Disputes and other disputes or for such longer period as may be required by law.
