Common use of Fines and Penalties Clause in Contracts

Fines and Penalties. The Contractor shall be solely liable for any and all fines or penalties which may be levied by any governmental authority against the Owner or Contractor which are related to the Contractor’s operations.

The Contractor shall will be solely liable for any and all fines or civil penalties which may be levied that are imposed by any governmental authority against the Owner or Contractor which are related quasi-governmental agency or body that may arise, or be alleged to the have arisen, out of or in connection with Contractor’s operationsperformance of, or failure to perform, the Work in compliance with Environmental Laws.

Contractor will not seek reimbursement from City or any Customer for any fines or penalties.
