Fire Fighting Costs of operating and maintaining the fire-fighting equipments and personnel, if any.
Work-Related Injury or Illness In the event of an eligible employee’s absence from work being due to work related injury or work related illness, contributions at the normal rate will continue for the period of the absence provided that:
Fire Prevention LESSEE agrees to use every reasonable precaution against fire and agrees to provide and maintain approved, labeled fire extinguishers, emergency lighting equipment, and exit signs and complete any other modifications within the leased premises as required or recommended by the Insurance Services Office (or successor organization), OSHA, the local Fire Department, or any similar body.
REIMBURSEMENT FOR PROPERTY DAMAGE In the event that an employee, required or authorized by his/her Agency/Department Head to use a private automobile on County business, while so using the automobile, should incur property damage to the employee's automobile through no negligence of the employee, and the employee is unable to recover the cost of such property damage from either his/her own insurance company or from any other driver, or other source, such costs shall be paid to such employee of the County, in a sum not exceeding $500, provided that any claims the employee may have against his/her insurance company or any third party have been litigated or settled, and provided further, that the employee is not found guilty of a violation of the California Vehicle Code or Penal Code in connection with the accident causing such damage. Employees shall submit proof of loss, damage or theft (i.e., appropriate police report and/or estimated statement of loss) to the Agency/Department Head within 30 days of such loss, damage or theft. Property damage or loss incurred to the private automobile while located on the street or at the parking facility serving the employee’s normal place of work shall not be compensated under this section, but property damage or loss incurred to the private automobile while located on the street or at the parking facility serving the employee’s County business destination shall be compensated as provided above.

Fire Or Lightning 2. Windstorm Or Hail This peril includes loss to watercraft of all types and their trailers, furnishings, equipment, and outboard engines or motors, only while inside a fully enclosed building. This peril does not include loss to the property contained in a building caused by rain, snow, sleet, sand or dust unless the direct force of wind or hail damages the building causing an opening in a roof or wall and the rain, snow, sleet, sand or dust enters through this opening.
Processing of a Grievance It is recognized and accepted by the Union and the Employer that the processing of grievances as hereinafter provided is limited by the job duties and responsibilities of the employees and shall therefore be accomplished during normal working hours only when consistent with such employee duties and responsibilities. The aggrieved employee and a Union representative shall be allowed a reasonable amount of time without loss of pay when a grievance is investigated and presented to the Employer during normal working hours provided that the employee and the Union representative have notified and received the approval of the designated supervisor who has determined that such absence is reasonable and would not be detrimental to the work programs of the Employer.
Fire Precautions Specific fire precautionary measures listed in C7.2 shall be applicable during Pur- chaser’s Operations in “Fire Precautionary Period” de- scribed in A12. Contracting Officer may change the dates of Fire Precautionary Period by advance written notice, if justified by unusual weather or other conditions. Required tools and equipment shall be kept in serviceable condition and immediately available for fire fighting at all times dur- ing Purchaser’s Operations in Fire Precautionary Period.
WORK-RELATED INJURIES Section 1. a. An employee who sustains a work-related injury, during the period of this Agreement, as the result of which the employee is disabled, if so determined by a decision issued under the operation of the Workers’ Compensation Program, shall be entitled to use accumulated sick, annual, or personal leave or injury leave without pay. While using accumulated leave, the employee will be paid a supplement to workers’ compensation of full pay reduced by an amount that yields a net pay, including workers’ compensation and social security disability benefits, that is equal to the employee's net pay immediately prior to the injury. Net pay prior to injury is defined as gross base pay minus federal, state, and local withholding, unemployment compensation tax and social security and retirement contributions. One full day of accumulated leave (7.5 or 8 hours as appropriate) will be charged for each day the supplement is paid. Accumulated leave and injury leave without pay may be used for an aggregate of nine (9) months (274 calendar days) or for the duration of the disability, whichever is the lesser, except that, if only accumulated leave is used, it may be used beyond nine (9) months (274 calendar days) until exhausted or until the disability ceases, whichever occurs sooner. In no case, however, will the aggregate of nine (9) months (274 calendar days) extend beyond three years from the date the injury occurred. If no leave is available under this Section, the provisions of Section 10 may apply. For temporary employees, accumulated leave and injury leave without pay shall be available for an aggregate of up to nine (9) months (274 calendar days), for the duration of the disability or for the scheduled duration of the temporary employment, whichever is the least. In no case, however, will the aggregate of nine (9) months (274 calendar days) extend beyond three years from the date the injury occurred. The employee election to use or not use accumulated leave under this Section cannot be changed more than once.
Processing of Grievance It is recognized and accepted by the Union and the County that the processing of grievances as hereinafter provided is limited by the job duties and responsibilities of the employees and shall therefore be accomplished during normal working hours only when consistent with such employee duties and responsibilities. The aggrieved employee's representative, if an employee, shall be allowed a reasonable amount of time without loss in pay, to investigate a grievance, and present grievances to the County during normal working hours provided the employee and the employee representative have notified the designated supervisor.
