Firefighting Equipment. Existing open-cab Dozer/Plow units will be replaced with closed-cab, climate-controlled units as funding is made available and as determined by Florida Fire Service management.
Firefighting Equipment. The Corporation shall provide every employee covered by this Agreement whose duty includes the fighting of fires with firefighting equipment which shall include a helmet, a service coat, gloves, turn-out pants, short turnout boots, coveralls and any such equipment as may be recommended by the Fire Chief and approved by the Corporation. All such equipment shall be returned to the Corporation when the employee ceases to perform such duty.
Firefighting Equipment. 10.1 The City shall provide each employee covered by this Agreement save and except Fire Dispatchers, with one (1) set of firefighting equipment which shall include rubber boots, helmet, helmet liner, service coat, turnout pants, service belt, leather work gloves and any such equipment as may be recommended by the Fire Chief and approved by the City Manager. In addition each employee who requires bedding shall be issued two (2) blankets.
10.2 All such equipment and blankets shall be returned to the City when the employee ceases to perform such duty.
(a) All equipment and blankets mentioned in Section 10.1 shall be maintained and serviced by the City and shall be renewed or repaired upon proof of need.
(b) All such equipment and blankets are to be used for Departmental purposes only.

All employees shall have safety equipment replaced when it becomes no longer serviceable.
20.2 Employees who are engaged in fire investigations within the Prevention Branch will be provided, by the City, Personal Protective Equipment appropriate for investigations. This will include but not be limited to: coveralls, helmet, respirator, safety boots, gloves, eye/face protection.
20.3 All such equipment shall be returned to the City when the employee ceases to perform such duty and may be re-issued, if serviceable, to a replacement.

Firefighting Equipment. 4.1. It is prohibited to use primary firefighting appliances and inventory for economic and production affairs.
4.2. Primary firefighting measures and fire prevention alarm appliances must be constantly in working condition.
4.3. Operative fire extinguishers must have:
4.3.1. sealed actuation mechanism;
4.3.2. red painted hull and illustration with instructions for the use;
4.4. Arrangement of fire extinguishers shall not disturb for process of people evacuation;
4.5. Fire extinguishers are kept in visible and easily accessible places, which are protected from effect of direct sunlight and are away from heating equipment. Hand-held fire extinguishers are kept in fire hose cabinets or on the floor.
4.6. Fire extinguishers that are not designed for exploitation and are kept in unheated premises, during periods of frost and under negative temperature shall be hanged down. Information shall be left in those places about their placement.
