First Aid Certificate. 18:10.1 Each facility in the District shall have an employee designated as the First Aid Attendant.
First Aid Certificate. Teachers shall be required to obtain and maintain an approved first aid certificate. Teachers employed in Pre-Schools will attend such courses in their own time.
First Aid Certificate. Where an employer requires an employee covered by this agreement to hold a first aid certificate, the employer shall meet the cost of obtaining / renewing the certificate from the employer’s preferred provider in accordance with that Association’s practice.
First Aid Certificate. A first aid attendant authorized by the Company to attend classes or write examinations for obtaining, renewing or upgrading a first aid ticket will be compensated for lost regular straight time earnings. The duration of the course shall include shifts on the day the course/exam begins and the day the course/exam finishes.

2. Providing a teacher holding a valid First Aid Certificate is designated by the Administrative Officer and is required to act as a First Aid Attendant in a school, the Board shall pay the designated teacher per school year: Effective July 1, 2006 July 1, 2007 July 1, 2008 July 1, 2009 July 1, 2010 $512.50 $525.31 $538.44 $551.90 $562.94
3. When the designated teacher is requested and agrees to obtain or renew a First Aid Certificate recognized by the Workers’ Compensation Board of British Columbia, the Board shall reimburse the teacher, upon written application to the Human Resources Department, for the full cost of the course, including examination fees and substitute teachers as required.
First Aid Certificate. (a) The Employer requires all staff to have a current First Aid Certificate upon commencement with the Employer.
(b) Where a full time employee is required by the Employer to be, in the given week, responsible for the provision of first aid to employees employed by the employer, a weekly allowance as specified in Table 3 of Schedule A will be paid. The allowance will apply to eligible part time and casual employees on a pro-rata basis on the basis that the ordinary weekly hours of work for full time employees are 38.
(c) Following the commencement of employment of permanent fulltime and part- time employees, the Employer will arrange for the renewal of CPR and first aid training certificates and fund the cost of such arranged training.
First Aid Certificate. (a) Where the Employer requires an employee to hold a Level 1 First Aid Certificate, the employer shall be responsible for the cost of the course.
(b) Where the Employer requests an employee to take first aid training beyond a Level I First Aid Certificate, the cost of tuition and course materials shall be prepaid by the Employer and the employee shall be paid at their regular hourly rate of pay for the length of the course.
(c) Where an employee accepts the designation of First Aid Attendant at a location in School District No. 50, the premium shall be one dollar ($1.00) per hour.

All future increases will be based on the newly revised rate with ESD.
3. When the designated teacher is requested and agrees to obtain or renew a First Aid Certificate recognized by the Workers‘ Compensation Board of British Columbia, the Board shall reimburse the teacher, upon written application to the Human Resources Department, for the full cost of the course, including examination fees and substitute teachers as required.
First Aid Certificate. An employee who holds a current first aid certificate, and who is required by CatholicCare Canberra & Goulburn to perform as a designated first aid officer at the workplace, shall be paid an allowance of $17.46 per week or $3.50 per day whichever is applicable. The allowance will be indexed for the life of the Agreement as set out above
First Aid Certificate. Any Employee holding a valid Occupational First Aid Certificate, recognized under the WorkSafeBC Occupational Health & Safety Regulation who is designated by the Employer to carry out the duties of a first aid attendant pursuant to the above regulations, shall receive, in addition to his/her regular rate, the following premium based on the class of certificate required: Level II- fifty- five cents (55¢) per hour, CFV Water Supply Services – Level I plus Transportation Endorsement – fifty-five cents (55¢) per hour.
