Floating to Another Department or Facility. Nurses can work in another department or facility (PACU to OR; OR to SPU; OR to EC; EC to CDU; Interstate to Mother Xxxxxx) on a voluntary basis after being trained in that department or facility. Nurses who want to work in another department or facility will go through that department or facility’s regular training and/or orientation. Nurses will work a minimum number of shifts as agreed to by the nurse and manager to maintain competency in that department or facility. For purposes of this section, department or facility means the area where the majority of the nurse’s hours are scheduled.
