FREEDOM FROM VIOLENCE. The Division and Association recognize the importance of a caring school environment that is orderly, supportive and non-violent. The and learning environment should be free from physical or emotional abuse. Physical abuse shall mean acts of violence against a person, the person’s family and the person’s possessions. Emotional abuse consists of obscene gestures, verbal abuse, threats of physical abuse and harassment. incidents of abuse will be treated with confidence and dealt with through Divisional Policy.
