Fringes. Fringe benefit credit for labor provided under Section 7.7.2.2 is only allowable for prevailing wage fringe benefits pursuant to ORC Chapter 4115, including, but not limited to, Health and Welfare, vacation, apprenticeship training, and certain types of pension plans. The parties shall defer to the Ohio Department of Commerce’s policy on which benefits are granted fringe benefit credit. Each fringe benefit for which credit is requested shall be calculated on an hourly basis and listed as a separate line item. The Contractor shall submit documentation supporting the calculation of the amounts for each fringe benefit for each worker classification, including labor provided by Subcontractors.

Fringes. In addition to any remuneration referred to in this Agreement, the Employer shall pay the following Fringes, as per Schedule of this Agreement, on a weekly basis:
Fringes. The Board will pay its share of benefits for the remainder of the current contract year in which such unpaid leave commences. Thereafter, the employee will be carried on the payroll records for the duration of such approved leave, but any and all fringe benefits such as medical/hospitalization and term life insurance shall be maintained only at the expense of the employee on unpaid leave. The employee shall forward a check or checks to cover the full cost of said insurance program. Failure to forward premiums at stipulated times will terminate this benefit.

Fringes. MEDICAL PLAN The Company will supply and maintain payment for all employees who have completed their probationary period a comprehensive group health and medical plan similar to that in existence at the commencement of this Agreement. Employees agree to contribute and have deducted from their pay approximately one-third of the cost of such coverage. The employee portion of the premiums shall be firstly applied to cover the cost of long term disability. SHORT DISABILITY PLAN The Company agrees to set up a compulsory Short Term Disability Plan, where available. All Costs for such plan to be the responsibility of each crew. Such costs to be deducted monthly from the wages for each crew. PENSION PLAN Each employee who has completed his her probationary period shall have an annual contribution made to his her account equivalent to of basic pay. Such contributions shall be made monthly. Employees terminating service shall have pro-rated contributions. Contributions to increase with cost of living increases annually as detailed in Appendix “A”. The percentage applied to the Basic Rate of Pay for Registered Retirement Savings Plan contributions shall be the same percentage applied for the mates and first engineers under the agreement with the Canadian Merchant Service Guild. HIRING HALL Contributions to the Hiring Hall Fund shall be calculated at a rate of per position per day, per person per year. For the purpose of making monthly remittances, the dates for which a contribution is made will be indicated on the Company’s monthly report. Fringes. All fringe benefits are to be calculated on each straight time hour at the straight time rate and each overtime hour worked at the time and one half rates, except for Admin. Dues Check-0ff which is based on gross earnings. All payments by Employers into any of the funds established under the terms of this Agreement, such as the Health & Welfare Fund, H&W Retirement, Holiday Fund, Dues Check-Off Fund, Pension Fund, Vacation Fund, and Administrative Dues Check-Off Fund shall be paid monthly. All payments received later than the 10thof the following month shall be assessed a penalty of 3% if the payment is received between the 20th to the 25th, 5% if it’s received between the 25th to the 30th and 10% if it’s received later than the 30th. A $0.05 per hour Industry and Association Fund Contribution shall be paid by the Employer with a separate check and fringe report.
