Fundraising Guidelines. ▇. ▇▇▇▇ believes that one strong voice and simple message promoted for a short period of time, is the best way to maximize the size and number of gifts from donors. United Way is interested in working with organizations and the community at-large to secure the necessary funds for support of the region's human service programs. This policy establishes the guidelines for fundraising by Community Partner (that have received community raised money) status with the UWGA The purpose of this policy is to permit the greatest amount of flexibility to Community Partners in conducting their own fundraising and, at the same time, ensure the best possible results for the United Way’s annual campaign.
Fundraising Guidelines. A. You shall not raise funds by means of visits from house to house or by means of public collections in any public place without (and always subject to the Charity’s prior written approval) first obtaining a collector’s license from the responsible local authority (or other applicable licensing body). B. All fundraising activities undertaken must be legal. In particular, please ensure you refrain from any undue pressure on individuals to donate, especially if they have told you that they do not wish to make a donation. C. You must not use anyone under the age of 18 to collect funds for the Charity. D. You shall make it clear that you are not an employee or agent of the Charity. E. You shall not conduct any collection on private property without first obtaining the permission of the owner. F. You shall not conduct any raffle or lottery without prior written approval from the Charity. G. You must abide at all times with the all applicable laws, including but without limitation the Charities Act 1992 and all applicable data protection and charity laws. H. You must not place any promotional literature on vehicle windscreens.
Fundraising Guidelines. The Public Allies AmeriCorps member cannot assist Public Allies or your Partner Organization with major fundraising efforts such as proposal writing, financial campaigns, endowment drives, solicitation of gifts and bequest, or similar activities designed for the sole purpose of raising general operating capital. However, the Member is permitted to raise resources for a project that he/she is working on that provides immediate and direct support to a specific and direct service activity. Under no circumstances can the member assist with the preparation or submission of any grants to the Corporation for National and Community Service or any other federal agency. The member cannot raise funds to support the cost of his/her own position. Furthermore, the member may not spend more than 10% of his/her total hours on approved fundraising activities. Any fundraising activities must be discussed with and pre-approved by the Public Allies Program Manager.

An organization must conduct its on campus fundraising activity during a period of ten (10) consecutive school days. No one can have a “Go Fund Me Account”, debit cards, checks, etc. Money has to be turned in every day and deposits must be made daily.
