GENERAL PRINCIPLESARTICLE III - GENERAL PRINCIPLES. 1. Persons presently employed as Journeymen, who do not wish to become certified, shall continue to be employed as Journeymen. 2. Persons employed as Journeymen, who take the Tradesmen Qualification Exam and fail, shall continue to be employed as Journeymen. 3. The period of Apprenticeship Training will be as defined by the Apprenticeship Branch for each trade. The Apprentice will receive the Journeyman rate on successful completion of his Apprenticeship, on the understanding that he completes his full term of training. In the case of five year Apprentices, Article VI, 1(e) will apply. If the Apprentice refuses to continue his training he will be removed from the program with no standing as a journeyman in his trade.
