General Requirements for Benefits. Employees whose first day worked is prior to the effective date shall become covered under this Agreement on the effective date if at work, they shall become cov- ered under this Agreement on the first day they return to work following completion of three (3) months of continuous active service. Employees who do not become covered under this Agreement on the effective date who were covered under the preceding Group Insurance Plan shall continue to be covered in accordance with the terms of such preceding plan until they return to work at which time they shall become covered under this Agreement as set forth above.

Part time employees shall be covered under this Agreement only if they work an average of twenty (20) hours or more weekly and their principal occupation is with the Company. A student employed by the Company during their vacation from school shall not be covered under this Agreement. Benefits under this Agreement shall not be provided for any service rendered in or by any facility contracted for or operated by any government for the principal purpose of treatment of members or ex-members of its armed forces. Revisions to benefit levels as provided by this Agreement will apply to employees who are actively at work as of the effective date of the revised benefit levels. Dependents become covered for benefit revisions on the same date as the employee unless disabled as of this date and under such circumstances dependents will become covered following their resumption of normal activities.

  • Certification of Meeting or Exceeding Tobacco-Free Workplace Policy Minimum Standards A. Grantee certifies that it has adopted and enforces a Tobacco-Free Workplace Policy that meets or exceeds all of the following minimum standards of: i. Prohibiting the use of all forms of tobacco products, including but not limited to cigarettes, cigars, pipes, water pipes (hookah), bidis, kreteks, electronic cigarettes, smokeless tobacco, snuff and chewing tobacco; ii. Designating the property to which this Policy applies as a "designated area,” which must at least comprise all buildings and structures where activities funded under this Grant Agreement are taking place, as well as Grantee owned, leased, or controlled sidewalks, parking lots, walkways, and attached parking structures immediately adjacent to this designated area; iii. Applying to all employees and visitors in this designated area; and iv. Providing for or referring its employees to tobacco use cessation services. B. If Grantee cannot meet these minimum standards, it must obtain a waiver from the System Agency.

  • PORTABILITY OF BENEFITS The following benefits are portable: 6.01 Accumulated income protection benefits/sick leave credits. 6.02 Length of employment applicable to rate at which vacation is earned. 6.03 Length of employment applicable to pre-retirement leave. NOTE: Deer Lodge Centre limits payment of pre-retirement leave to service acquired since April 1, 1983. Incoming employees would retain original service date for this purpose. 6.04 Length of employment for the purpose of qualifying to join benefit plans, e.g., two (2) year pension requirement.

  • Minimum Site Requirements for TIPS Sales (when applicable to TIPS Sale). Cleanup: When performing work on site at a TIPS Member’s property, Vendor shall clean up and remove all debris and rubbish resulting from their work as required or directed by the TIPS Member or as agreed by the parties. Upon completion of work, the premises shall be left in good repair and an orderly, neat, clean and unobstructed condition. Preparation: Vendor shall not begin a project for which a TIPS Member has not prepared the site, unless Vendor does the preparation work at no cost, or until TIPS Member includes the cost of site preparation in the TIPS Sale Site preparation includes, but is not limited to: moving furniture, installing wiring for networks or power, and similar pre‐installation requirements. Registered Sex Offender Restrictions: For work to be performed at schools, Vendor agrees that no employee of Vendor or a subcontractor who has been adjudicated to be a registered sex offender will perform work at any time when students are, or reasonably expected to be, present unless otherwise agreed by the TIPS Member. Vendor agrees that a violation of this condition shall be considered a material breach and may result in the cancellation of the TIPS Sale at the TIPS Member’s discretion. Vendor must identify any additional costs associated with compliance of this term. If no costs are specified, compliance with this term will be provided at no additional charge. Safety Measures: Vendor shall take all reasonable precautions for the safety of employees on the worksite, and shall erect and properly maintain all necessary safeguards for protection of workers and the public. Vendor shall post warning signs against all hazards created by the operation and work in progress. Proper precautions shall be taken pursuant to state law and standard practices to protect workers, general public and existing structures from injury or damage. Smoking: Persons working under Agreement shall adhere to the TIPS Member’s or local smoking statutes, codes, ordinances, and policies.
