Hours or More. An employee who is absent from work for a medical appointment or physical therapy for 4 hours or more will have 1 day charged against his or her 365 day maximum period for receipt of salary continuation pre- disability net pay.

Hours or More. The meal break shall be scheduled by the Employer. However, whenever an employee is required and authorized to work during his lunch break, he shall be paid for the time worked at straight time.

If all Maintenance Department bargaining unit employees are qualified to perform the duties of the open work, then the most senior Maintenance Department bargaining unit employee who is available will be asked first, and so on down the seniority list, until the list is exhausted. If no one takes the open work, then the seniority list will be reversed until the open work is covered.
Hours or More. 22.1.1 Employees contracting or incurring any non-service connected sickness or disability, including pregnancy and maternity care where a certified disability exists, who are quarantined by health authorities, or who must make medical, optician or dental visits during their regular working hours, shall be entitled to receive sick leave at full pay for all such absences. Such leave, not to exceed ten (10) work days in any one calendar year, may be used also in the event of illness in the immediate family of such employee (the employee's spouse, parent, children, grandparents) where their presence is necessary. After any such absence for family illness the Sheriff may require a statement from the attending physician explaining the necessity of the employee’s presence.

An employee who works less than forty (40) hours a week shall have his/her pay prorated accordingly unless he/she works on the holiday then he/she shall be paid for all hours worked plus overtime.
