General Requirements for Credits. Credits to apply to lanes beyond a particular lane must be earned subsequent to the earning of the degree and must be taken from a college or university accredited by the North Central Association of Colleges and Schools or other similar regional accrediting agencies. The Association will not object to the approval of credits from a non-accredited institution, but such approval shall not constitute a precedent. Since the teacher's ability to fully perform his/her professional responsibilities is of primary importance, if the teacher's study program interferes with full performance of his/her responsibilities, the Superintendent shall have the right to limit the number of quarter/semester hours of credit that will be taken during the school year.
