Common use of General Rule Clause in Contracts

General Rule. No Damages for Delay, Extension of Time Sole Remedy. Contractor shall not be entitled to any damages for delay or to any other reimbursement as a Cost of the Work, or to an increase in the contract amount, or to payment, damages, monies, or compensation of any kind from Owner for direct, indirect, impact, or disruption damages (including but not limited to costs of acceleration of Work or any Phase thereof) arising because of delay or other hindrance of any kind whatsoever; except as specifically permitted by Article 3.3.8. Extension of the time is the Contractor's sole remedy for any delays not the fault of the Contractor.
