GENERAL SAFETY CLAUSES. 1. The Contractor shall observe and comply, with regard to his workmen working at the SLPP site, the safety norms as per the safety operating standards. 2. The Contractor shall ensure that his workmen are informed and trained regarding the safety standards to be adopted while operating within the SLPP Plant & Mines premises and the Contractor shall brief them regarding the same and use of the Personal Protective Equipment (‘PPE’). 3. The Contractor shall issue safety shoes and safety helmet of IS standard to all his workmen immediately on execution of the work and the contractor shall ensure that his workmen wears the protective equipments at all times during the work operation. Following brand of the safety shoes and helmet shall be issued to contract workmen. Contractor shall issue safety shoes every year.
