Fire Safety Sample Clauses
Fire Safety. Resident will not tamper with fire alarms, smoke detectors, fire extinguishers, fire hoses, or exit signs. Resident will promptly evacuate Residence Facility upon the sounding of an alarm or as otherwise directed by College Housing staff. Resident will participate in any periodic fire drill and fire safety training conducted by College for the Residence Facility.
Fire Safety. You agree to respond to fire alarms, adhere to all fire regulations and evacuation procedures (which are displayed in the Accommodation and on notice boards in the Halls of Residence) and: (a) where we give you reasonable prior written notice that a fire safety meeting (which may be attended by a representative from the emergency services) has been arranged by the Halls of Residence team and your attendance at that meeting is compulsory, attend that meeting; (b) not to obstruct Communal Areas or shared areas within the Accommodation or fire escape routes nor prop open, or otherwise tamper with, the fire doors (as they are designed to reduce the spread of fire) and not to abuse, interfere or otherwise tamper with any of our fire prevention and detection equipment; (c) not to do anything which may cause a fire hazard, including (but not limited to) using or storing in the Accommodation or Halls of Residence any flammable or dangerous materials (e.g. inflatable items or furniture, candles, incense sticks/burners or other naked flame, fireworks, petrol, paraffin, bottled gas, oil, oil-filled radiators, deep fat fryers, sun-beds and hookah or shisha pipes) or leave cooking unattended; (d) not to light any fires, leave cooking unattended or hold any barbeques (unless in a designated barbeque area) in the Accommodation or Halls of Residence.
Fire Safety. Resident is responsible for periodically testing smoke detectors in the Unit and for reporting defective detectors. Tampering with smoke detectors is prohibited. Fire extinguishers must not be removed from their hangers except for use in the case of fire. Resident agrees to participate in fire drills. Resident agrees to report immediately any known, expended extinguisher to UHRL for replacement. In the event of a fire in the Unit or the Building, and if it can be done without jeopardizing the safety of the Resident, Resident must notify the Fire Department by calling 9-1-1 and/or the PSU Campus Public Safety Office at 000-000-0000.
Fire Safety. 9.5.1 Residents found in violation of the following fire safety stipulations not only put themselves at risk but also jeopardizes the safety of the entire community.
9.5.2 Candles/Incense: Candles and/or incense are prohibited in all on-campus housing. Residents found responsible for burning candles and/or incense may be removed from on-campus housing.
9.5.3 Combustibles: Combustibles, flammable liquids and substances of any type (e.g., fuel, kerosene, propane, oil, open paints/thinners, Sterno, charcoal) are prohibited. Charcoal or gas stoves (e.g. Xxxxxxx stoves, Hibachis) and/or lamps, gasoline motors of any type, including motorcycles and mopeds are prohibited. Motorcycles and mopeds cannot be kept inside facilities nor directly adjacent to facility entry ways. Art students (and others engaged in art projects) may retain small quantities of materials necessary for their work, providing these materials are kept closed when not in use and stored safely in a metal box. Deep frying, the cooking of food by submerging in deep fat or oil at a high temperature, is prohibited in all on-campus housing. Air fryers are also prohibited in all on-campus housing.
Fire Safety. Fire safety devices such as, but not limited to alarms, sprinkler systems, extinguishers, common area smoke detectors, pull station covers, and exit signs are installed in all housing units. Residents and guests must evacuate any time a fire alarm sounds. Failure to evacuate may result in disciplinary action, including expulsion and/or fines. Tampering with fire safety equipment is a violation of state law and University Regulations and may result in disciplinary action including restitution, including expulsion. You may not disconnect, cover, damage, or tamper in any way with fire safety devices. Nothing may be hung from the sprinkler system. You will immediately report the malfunction of or damage to any fire safety device in your room, including smoke detectors, to a Housing and Residence Life staff member.
Fire Safety. 4.14.1 Not to tamper with any of the fire prevention and control equipment at the Premises or in the Common Parts and to vacate the Premises (and to ensure any visitors do so) immediately whenever the fire alarm is sounded and/or in event of fire.
4.14.2 Not to use any article in the Premises or the Common Parts which smoulders or has a naked flame.
4.14.3 Not to obstruct any designated fire escape.
4.14.4 Not to use designated fire escapes except for the purposes of emergency escape.
Fire Safety. The University shall supply, install, and maintain all required smoke detectors and test them whenever an assignment becomes vacant. The resident shall not remove, tamper with, or obstruct the smoke detector in any fashion that may impede its proper operation. The resident shall report immediately to Public Safety any sounding of the smoke detector, low battery condition, or maintenance issue concerning the smoke detector or fire alarm. Resident shall comply with all other aspects of the Fire Safety policy posted in the Student Conduct Code.

Fire Safety. You agree to adhere to the fire safety section in the Student Code of Conduct including responding to fire alarms and evacuation procedures which are displayed in the Accommodation.

You agree to respond to fire alarms, adhere to all fire regulations and evacuation procedures (which are displayed in the Accommodation and on notice boards in the Hall) and: a) to complete any mandatory fire and safety training, whether online or in person, as instructed by the University and/or the Managing Agent; b) not to tamper with, misuse or cover the heat detectors or smoke sensors or any other fire detection or fire-fighting or fire protection equipment anywhere in the Accommodation or Hall; c) not to smoke in the Accommodation or the Hall or anywhere within 10 metres of any building forming part of the Hall unless it is a designated area. This includes the use of e- cigarettes; d) not to obstruct Communal Areas or fire escape routes nor prop open, or otherwise tamper with, the fire doors (as they are designed to reduce the spread of fire) and not to abuse, interfere or otherwise tamper with any of our fire prevention and detection equipment including for example activating the fire alarms where it is not necessary or appropriate to do so; e) not to do anything which may cause a fire hazard, including (but not limited to) using or storing in the Accommodation or Hall any flammable or dangerous materials (e.g. inflatable items or furniture, candles, incense sticks/burners or other naked flame, fireworks, petrol, paraffin, bottled gas, oil, oil-filled radiators, deep fat fryers, sun-beds and hookah or shisha pipes); f) not to shower with the door open; g) not to leave any cooking unattended; and h) you will use reasonable endeavours to avoid careless activation of the fire alarm (for instance burning food whilst cooking or showering with the bathroom dooropen) and you will pay any charges levied by third parties such as the local fire authority for attending false alarms where you are found to have breached this Clause 2.10.2.
