Geology, Soils, and Prime Farmland. a. In this task, the Engineer shall characterize the geophysical environment of the project, including an understanding of the project area bedrock geology and subsurface strata, soils, terrain units, and surface processes which may affect or be affected by the proposed project. The Engineer shall identify the proposed project impacts to soils in the area that may be considered to be farmland protected under the Farmland Protection Policy Act.
