Giving up Patent Rights. If a party is no longer interested in maintaining patent rights on Background or Foreground of a Project, it shall no later than ten (10) weeks before the applicable deadline notify the IP Board hereof, which will inform the other parties in the Program. During a period of eight (8) weeks each Program Company shall have the right to negotiate with the owner of the patent rights a license or assignment agreement for these patent rights.
