Common use of Governmental Authority Clause in Contracts

Governmental Authority. Any national, state or local government (whether domestic or foreign), any political subdivision thereof or any other governmental, quasi governmental, judicial, public or statutory instrumentality, authority, body, agency, bureau, commission, board, department or other entity (including, without limitation, the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation, the Comptroller of the Currency or the Federal Reserve Board, any central bank or any comparable authority) or any arbitrator with authority to bind a party at law, and including any supra-national bodies such as the European Union or the European Central Bank.

Governmental Authority. Any nationalfederal, state foreign, state, local or local government (whether domestic or foreign), municipal governmental body; any political subdivision thereof or any other governmental, quasi governmentalregulatory or administrative agency, commission, body or other authority exercising or entitled to exercise any administrative, executive, judicial, public legislative, policy, regulatory or statutory instrumentality, authority, body, agency, bureau, commission, board, department taxing authority or other entity (including, without limitation, the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation, the Comptroller of the Currency or the Federal Reserve Board, any central bank power; or any comparable authority) court or any arbitrator with authority to bind a party at lawgovernmental tribunal. Notwithstanding the foregoing, and including any supra-national bodies such as Governmental Authority shall not include the European Union Director or the European Central Bankhis designees.

Governmental Authority.
