Under this agreement, the grace period ends on the last day of the calendar month in which the premium is due. For example: for coverage effective July 1 through July 31, the end of the one-month grace period and the last date we will accept the premium payment is July 31. If you purchased coverage: • directly from BCBSRI the grace period is one calendar month; • through HSRI, o and you do NOT receive advance payments of tax credits, the grace period is one calendar month; o and you do receive advance payment of tax credits; the grace period is three (3) calendar months after the premium due date. Please contact HSRI for details. If you do not make payment by the end of the grace period, this agreement will end as of the last day of the grace period. This is called termination for nonpayment of premiums. Any claims incurred after the end of the grace period will be your responsibility.
