GRIEVANCE TIME LINES. 10.9 The time limits established by this grievance procedure shall be strictly construed; provided, however, the parties to this Agreement reserve the right to mutually extend or alter said time limits in writing. Any grievance not advanced by the Association and/or grievant to the next step in the grievance procedure within the time limits specified shall be deemed abandoned. In the event the Employer's representative fails to respond to a grievance within the time limits specified, said grievance shall be deemed denied and subject to advancement to the next step of the grievance procedure.
