Guards. Guard positions will be worked on a triple shift basis and the hours of work shall be an eight- (8) hour shift. There shall be shift differential of seventy-five cents ($.75) per hour for the 4:00 p.m. to midnight shift and seventy-five cents ($.75) per hour for the 12:00 midnight to 8:00 am shift. Employees in these positions shall have one –half (1/2) hour for lunch as near mid-shift as practical. Changes in the shift system shall be discussed with the Union prior to implementation. This classification takes into account weekend premium pay.
Guards. Police station guards shall be paid eighty (80) hours every two (2) weeks.
Guards. Follow the work schedule and meet exactly to the work sessions. If you are unable to work, the group leader must be notified as soon as possible, at the latest before the guard starts.
Guards. Plate or mesh safety guards shall be provided for electrical apparatus and moving parts of machinery. The guards shall be of approved design and in accordance with approved National Standards. The Contractor shall ensure that stationary points requiring access, such as lubricating and fluid inspection points, are safe and outside the guards. Guards shall be designed so that they are secure but can be removed without disturbing other parts of the plant. Adjustment to machinery in motion shall be possible without the removal of guards.
Guards. The regular working day for Guards and Guard/Clerk 1 shall consist of eight (8) consecutive hours. Guards and Guard/Clerk 1 will be required to eat their lunch while on duty. All Guards and Guard/Clerk 1 shall receive an additional one half hour straight time pay in lieu of no relief for meal breaks. The regular work day shall be from Monday through Sunday inclusive which shall constitute forty (40) hours work in five (5) days, in accordance with the following standard shifts: 1st Shift – Tuesday through Sunday 3:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m. 2nd Shift - Wednesday through Tuesday 7:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. 3rd Shift - Thursday through Thursday 11:00 p.m. through 7:00 a.m. If a part time or casual guard is already scheduled for work during any 24 hour period (11pm to 11pm), any additional shifts will be offered to other qualified part time or casual employees, in order of seniority. When an employee is called in for a shift of less than 8 hours, he/she may be called in again provided there is a 7 hour break between shifts, and that the total number of hours worked does not exceed 8 hours in the 24 hour period. In order to improve the work-life balance for full time Guards, and so as to eliminate additional costs to the employer, it is agreed that cutoff for afternoon shift shall be on Friday of the scheduled week. The Saturday shift will not accrue overtime, but will be included in the following week’s wage payment. This will meet the requirement for five shifts per week, totaling 40 hours.

Guards. The Contractor shall provide properly trained and fully outfitted security guards to respond satisfactorily to the needs of the City as specified herein. Specific requirements shall include, but may not be limited to the following:

Hours of work for regular full-time Security Guards shall be scheduled so that: In every seven (7) day period, security guards will work five (5) consecutive days followed by two (2) consecutive days of rest; the security guard will be placed on a full hour seven day rotation of days, evenings, midnights and will be provided with a set permanent schedule of days of rest upon hire. On a daily basis, employees work (8) hours inclusive of a paid meal break of one-half hour. The three existing security guards identified between the parties in the Letter of Understanding signed June will rotate through three at three month intervals. Each employee would have every third weekend off and the other two weeks each employee would have one day off on the weekend. The three shifts have days off as follows: The arrangement for the three existing permanent security guards will cease when they resign.
