Harassment Policy PURPOSE. The Stratford Beacon Herald and the Union recognize the dignity and worth of every person and will provide for equal rights and opportunities without discrimination and aim to create a climate of understanding and mutual respect for the dignity and worth of every person so that he/she feels part of the common workplace. Every employee has the right to work in an environment free of discrimination and harassment. This right includes the responsibility to eliminate harassment and discrimination in our workplace, either as a participant or an observer. This policy and procedure outlines the Stratford Beacon Herald and the union’s commitment to ensure a harassment and discrimination-free workplace and will act as a guide to employees in adhering to legal and social guidelines regarding the recognition and prevention of harassment and discrimination.
