Hatch Political Activity Act. The Grantee will comply with the Hatch Political Activity Act, as amended, 5 USC §§ 1501-1508, and the Intergovernmental Personnel Act of 1970 as amended by Title (6) of the Civil Service Reform Act, 42 USC § 4728, which states that employees working in programs financed with federal grants may not be a candidate for elective public office in a partisan election, use official authority or influence to affect the result of an election, or influence a state or local officer to provide financial support for a political purpose.
