Hazardous And Explosive Environments. The customer shall be responsible for the provision, installation and maintenance of sealed conduit with explosive-proof fittings between facilities furnished by the Company in an explosive atmosphere and points outside the hazardous area where connection may be made with regular facilities of the Company. The customer may also be required to install and maintain Company facilities within the hazardous area if, in the opinion of the Company, injury or damage to Company employees or property might result from installation or maintenance by the Company. The applicable standards are found in National Electric Safety Code articles 500 - 503.
