Hazardous Duty Differential Clause Samples

The Hazardous Duty Differential clause establishes additional compensation for employees who perform work under conditions deemed hazardous or unusually dangerous. This clause typically outlines the specific types of duties or environments that qualify for the differential, such as handling toxic chemicals, working at extreme heights, or operating in combat zones, and specifies the rate or percentage of extra pay provided. Its core practical function is to fairly compensate employees for taking on increased risk, thereby incentivizing acceptance of hazardous assignments and ensuring that the employer addresses the added dangers associated with certain job tasks.
