Hearing Officer Appointment. Upon receipt of a request for a hearing from an affected professor, the President will notify the Board of Trustees and request that the Board appoint an impartial hearing officer who will be an attorney in good standing with the Bar of the state of Washington and who will not be a professor of the state of Washington or any of its political subdivisions or a member of the Board of Trustees of any Community College in the state of Washington. It will be the role of the impartial hearing officer to conduct the hearing in Accordance with RCW Chapter 34.05.

  • Hearing Officer The Hearing Officer shall be jointly selected by the parties within thirty (30) days of the execution of this contract and shall serve for a minimum of one (1) year from the date of selection. At that time the parties may choose to re-appoint the Hearing Officer or select a different Hearing Officer who will also serve for a minimum of one (1) year from date of selection.
