Herbicide Application. In addition to the ad hoc and selective use of herbicide on most grass cutting areas, there are specific areas on the airside managed by herbicide only. These areas are known as the Concrete areas. They consist of large concrete slabs with expansion grooves prone to unwanted vegetation growth. These areas must be spot treated with a non-selective herbicide to ensure that they are kept free from vegetation at all times. The service will be required on a monthly basis, 12 cycles per annum or as deemed necessary.
