Common use of HIGH TIME/HAZARD PREMIUM Clause in Contracts

HIGH TIME/HAZARD PREMIUM. SECTION 1. Where Employees are required to work from trusses, scaffolds, frames, ladders, etc., where the work platform is at a distance of twenty (20) feet or more from the ground or floor level, they shall receive twenty-five cents ($0.25) premium pay per hour. SECTION 2. Hazard premium shall be paid to Employees only where there is an actual exposure to the hazard. Hazard premium need not be paid where the erection of railings, guards or other adequate safety measures effectively eliminates the hazard of a free fall. SECTION 3. Hazard premium shall be paid only for the actual hours of exposure. Hazard premium shall be paid in one (1) hour increments. SECTION 4. The hazard premium shall be paid only to the members of a crew exposed to the hazard.
