The "Highest Function" clause defines the maximum level of responsibility, authority, or performance that a party is expected to fulfill under an agreement. HIGHEST FUNCTION. 45.1. Where an employee performs two or more classes of work on any one day, for the purpose of assessing the rate of wage to be paid, the employee will be regarded as having worked throughout the whole of his or her working time on that day at the class of work for which the highest rate of wage is prescribed.
45.2. An employee must not be transferred to perform a class of work providing a lesser minimum rate of pay than that at which the employee is usually employed unless given a week’s notice.
HIGHEST FUNCTION. An Employee may be required to perform work at a higher classification than the Employee’s Level and they shall be paid for that day at that higher Level provided that they perform work at that higher Level for at least two hours on that day.
