HOLIDAYS AND UNIVERSITY CLOSURES. Section 1. The following days are paid holidays at the University: New Year's Day, Xxxxxx Xxxxxx Xxxx Xx.'s Birthday, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Veterans Day, Thanksgiving Day and the day after, and Christmas Day. Whenever a holiday falls on a Sunday, the following Monday will be observed as the holiday. If a holiday falls on a Saturday, the preceding Friday will be observed as the holiday.
