Common use of Homeland Security Clause in Contracts

Homeland Security. Grantee shall utilize the U.S. Department of Homeland Security's E-Verify system, in accordance with the terms governing use of the system, to confirm the employment eligibility of: 1. all new persons employed by the grantee during the term of the grant agreement to perform employment duties within Florida; and 2. all new persons, including subcontractors, assigned by the grantee to perform work pursuant to the contract with the Commission. The Commission shall consider the employment by any vendor of unauthorized aliens a violation of Section 274A(e) of the Immigration and Nationality Act. If the vendor knowingly employs unauthorized aliens, such violation shall be cause for unilateral cancellation of this agreement.
