How to Endorse Your Check. When you receive a check made payable to you and wish to deposit that check in your account with us, we recommend that you endorse (sign) the back of check with the words “For Deposit” and then sign your name beneath that language and, be- neath your signature, write your account number. Endorsing the check in any other manner may risk your account not being credited for the check. You understand that you may not deposit any substitute check or similar item that you have created or for which no financial institution has provided the substitute check warranties and in- demnity. If you do so, you agree to indemnify us for all losses that we incur in con- nection with the substitute check or item. You further agree not to deposit any substi- tute check without our consent. When you endorse a check please make sure that your signature goes on the back of the check at the top edge (and should be no more than one and one-half (1½) inches from the back top edge of the check). Typically you will see a pre-printed space at the top of the back of the check with lines where you should sign your name (endorse- ment). You agree that we may ignore any other language or markings within or outside of your endorsement space on the check or draft, and that you will be responsible for any loss that results due to a delay or error in processing the check or draft for payment caused by endorsements, language, or markings inside or outside of the designated endorsement space. Please use dark permanent ink (preferable black ink) to endorse your checks. You should also write your account number below the endorsement and, if available, use our deposit slips and envelopes when making your deposit. You agree that you are responsible for any losses for a check you deposit if you do not use a dark permanent ink when endorsing the check.

If a check, draft, or item that is payable to two (2) or more persons is ambiguous as to whether it is payable to either or both, we will process the check, draft, or item as though it is payable to all such persons. Your endorsement must go on the back of the check at the top edge (and be no more than one and one-half (1½) inches from the back top edge of the check). While we may take checks or drafts for deposit with endorsements, you agree that we may ignore any other language or markings within or outside of your endorsement space, and that you will be responsible for any loss we incur due to a delay or error in processing the check or draft for payment caused by endorsements, language or markings inside or outside of the designated endorsement space.   • Using Your Card You understand that the use of your credit card or credit card account will constitute acknowledgement of receipt and agreement to the terms of the Credit Card Agreement and Credit Card Account Opening Disclosure (Disclosure). You may use your card to make purchases from merchants and others who accept your card. The credit union is not responsible for the refusal of any merchant or financial institution to honor your card. If you wish to pay for goods or services over the Internet, you may be required to provide card number security information before you will be permitted to complete the transaction. In addition, you may obtain cash advances from the Credit Union, from other financial institutions that accept your card, and from some automated teller machines (ATMs). (Not all ATMs accept your card.) If the credit union authorizes ATM transactions with your card, it will issue you a personal identification number (PIN). To obtain cash advances from an ATM, you must use the PIN issued to you for use with your card. You agree that you will not use your card for any transaction that is illegal under applicable federal, state, or local law. Even if you use your card for an illegal transaction, you will be responsible for all amounts and charges incurred in connection with the transaction. If you are permitted to obtain cash advances on your account, you may also use your card to purchase instruments and engage in transactions that we consider the equivalent of cash. Such transactions will be posted to your account as cash advances and include, but are not limited to, wire transfers, money orders, bets, lottery tickets, and casino gaming chips, as applicable. This paragraph shall not be interpreted as permitting or authorizing any transaction that is illegal.

  • Substitute Checks and Your Rights What is a substitute check? To make check processing faster, federal law permits banks to replace original checks with "substitute checks." These checks are similar in size to original checks with a slightly reduced image of the front and back of the original check. The front of a substitute check states: "This is a legal copy of your check. You can use it the same way you would use the original check." You may use a substitute check as proof of payment just like the original check. Some or all of the checks that you receive back from us may be substitute checks. This notice describes the rights you have when you receive substitute checks from us. The rights in this notice do not apply to original checks or to electronic debits to your account. However, you have rights under other laws with respect to those transactions. What are my rights regarding Substitute Checks? In certain cases, federal law provides a special procedure that allows you to request a refund for losses you suffer if a substitute check is posted to your account (for example, if you think that we withdrew the wrong amount from your account or that we withdrew money from your account more than once for the same check). The losses you may attempt to recover under this procedure may include the amount that was withdrawn from your account and fees that were charged as a result of the withdrawal (for example, NSF check fees). The amount of your refund under this procedure is limited to the amount of your loss or the amount of the substitute check, whichever is less. You are also entitled to interest on the amount of your refund if your account is an interest-bearing account. If your loss exceeds the amount of the substitute check, you may be able to recover additional amounts under other laws. If you use this procedure, you may receive up to $2,500 of your refund (plus interest if your account earns interest) within 10 business days after we receive your claim and the remainder of your refund (plus interest if your account earns interest) no later than 45 calendar days after we received your claim. We may reverse the refund (including any interest on the refund) if we later are able to demonstrate that the substitute check was correctly posted to your account. How do you make a claim for a refund? If you believe that you have suffered a loss relating to a substitute check that you received and that was posted to your account, please contact us. You must contact us within 40 calendar days of the date that we mailed (or otherwise delivered by a means to which you agreed) the substitute check in question or the account statement showing that the substitute check was posted to your account, whichever is later. We will extend this time period if you were not able to make a timely claim because of extraordinary circumstances. Your claim must include: • A description of why you have suffered a loss (for example, you think the amount withdrawn was incorrect); • An estimate of the amount of your loss; • An explanation of why the substitute check you received is insufficient to confirm that you suffered a loss, and • A copy of the substitute check and/or the following information to help us identify the substitute checks: the check number, the name of the person to whom you wrote the check and the amount of the check. Overdrafts and Nonsufficient Funds When we determine that you do not have enough available funds in your account to cover an Item (including an ATM or Debit Card transaction), then we consider the Item an insufficient funds item. If you have enrolled in our optional Overdraft Line of Credit Program and have enough funds in the linked account under the Overdraft Line plan, we transfer funds to cover ACH and check items. You may also establish a link from your checking account to a savings account or money market account to cover the shortfall in your checking account. Otherwise, without notice to you, we either authorize or pay the insufficient item and overdraw your account (an overdraft item) or we decline or return the insufficient item without payment (a returned item). All types of Items, including Bank fees, may overdraw your account. We pay overdrafts at our discretion, which means we do not guarantee that we will always, or ever, authorize and pay them. If we authorize or pay an item and create an overdraft, you must pay back any overdraft immediately. Each Owner will be jointly and severally liable to pay back any overdraft created by any account Owner, even if the Owner did not write the check, initiate the transaction, benefit from it or make any deposits to the account. If we overdraw your account to pay items on one or more occasions, we are not obligated to continue to paying future insufficient funds items. We may also close your account due to overdraft activity. See Closing an Account. You agree that we may apply deposits (including, but not limited to, Social Security and similar benefits) to overdrafts without notice to or consent from you, unless the law states otherwise. We may charge you a fee regardless of whether we authorize, pay or return an item. We may assess this fee for each item we authorize, pay or return. See our Schedule of Fees herein. Overdraft Protection The Bank Offers overdraft protection services that may protect your account against overdrafts in the event you do not have sufficient available funds to cover an item authorized or presented for payment. Overdraft protection may be less costly than paying overdraft or Non-sufficient return item fees. • Overdraft Protection By Linked Accounts – With this plan, you authorize the Bank to make an automatic transfer from your savings account to cover items presented for payment against non-sufficient funds to your designated checking account. These automated transfers are considered limited transfers and each transfer is counted as one of the six transfers from a savings account allowed per calendar month. A transfer occurs from your savings account to cover items presented against non-sufficient funds. Transfers are made for the exact amount to cover the shortfall in Available Funds. General Rules and Definitions This agreement (the "EFT Agreement") governs your use of Electronic Funds Transfer Services described below ("EFT Services") that are available for the Accounts opened through the Bank Website (the "Website"). The following provisions apply only to accounts established primarily for personal, family, or household purposes. This EFT Agreement describes your rights as well as your responsibilities and as such should be read carefully. We recommend that you keep the EFT Agreement for future reference.

  • Credit Checks 9.1 The Reseller agrees that: (a) When the Reseller applies to Voip-Unlimited to open an account, Voip-Unlimited may check the following records about the Reseller and its business partners: (i) Voip-Unlimited’s own; (ii) Personal and business records at credit reference agencies (CRAs). When CRAs receive a search from Voip-Unlimited they will place a search footprint on the Reseller’s business credit file that may be seen by other parties including lenders. They supply to Voip-Unlimited both public (including the electoral register) and shared credit and fraud prevention information; and (iii) those at fraud prevention agencies (FPAs); (b) For directors, Voip-Unlimited may seek confirmation, from credit reference agencies, that the residential address provide is the same as that shown on the restricted register of directors' usual addresses at Companies House; (c) Voip-Unlimited may make checks such as assessing the Reseller’s application and verifying identities to prevent and detect crime and money laundering. Voip-Unlimited may also make periodic searches at CRAs and FPAs to manage the Reseller’s account with it; (d) Information on applications will be sent to CRAs and will be recorded by them. Including information on the Reseller’s business and its proprietors and CRAs may create a record of the name and address of the Reseller’s business and its proprietors if there is not one already. Where the Reseller borrows from us, we will give details of the Reseller’s accounts and how the Reseller manages it/them to CRAs; (e) If the Reseller borrows and does not repay in full and on time, CRAs will record the outstanding debt. This information may be supplied to other organisations by CRAs and FPAs to perform similar checks and to trace the Reseller’s whereabouts and recover debts that the Reseller owes. Records remain on file for 6 years after they are closed, whether settled by the Reseller or defaulted; (f) If the Reseller gives Voip-Unlimited false or inaccurate information and Voip-Unlimited suspect or identifies fraud Voip-Unlimited will record this and may also pass this information to FPAs and other organisations involved in crime and fraud prevention; (g) If the Reseller has borrowed from Voip-Unlimited and does not make payments that it owes Voip- Unlimited, Voip-Unlimited may trace the Reseller’s whereabouts and recover debts; (h) Voip-Unlimited and other organisations may access and use from other countries the information recorded by fraud prevention agencies; and (i) The Reseller’s data may also be used for other purposes for which the Reseller gives specific permission or, in very limited circumstances, when required by law or where permitted under the terms of the Data Protection Xxx 0000.

  • Background Checks The State may require that the Contractor and Contractor Parties undergo criminal background checks as provided for in the State of Connecticut Department of Emergency Services and Public Protection Administration and Operations Manual or such other State document as governs procedures for background checks. The Contractor and Contractor Parties shall cooperate fully as necessary or reasonably requested with the State and its agents in connection with such background checks.

  • Credit Check You are authorized, in your discretion, should you for any reason deem it necessary for your protection to request and obtain a consumer credit report for the Customer.

  • Happen After We Receive Your Letter When we receive your letter, we must do two things:

  • ADDITIONAL INSURED ENDORSEMENT AND PRIMARY AND NON-CONTRIBUTORY INSURANCE CLAUSE Supplier agrees to list Sourcewell and its Participating Entities, including their officers, agents, and employees, as an additional insured under the Supplier’s commercial general liability insurance policy with respect to liability arising out of activities, “operations,” or “work” performed by or on behalf of Supplier, and products and completed operations of Supplier. The policy provision(s) or endorsement(s) must further provide that coverage is primary and not excess over or contributory with any other valid, applicable, and collectible insurance or self-insurance in force for the additional insureds.

  • Know Your Customer Information The Administrative Agent shall have received at least three Business Days prior to the Closing Date all documentation and other information about the Borrower as has been reasonably requested by the Administrative Agent at least 10 Business Days prior to the Closing Date that is required by regulatory authorities under applicable “know your customer” and anti-money laundering rules and regulations, including without limitation the USA PATRIOT Act.

  • Fronting Fee and Documentary and Processing Charges Payable to L/C Issuer The Borrower shall pay directly to the L/C Issuer for its own account a fronting fee with respect to each Letter of Credit, at the rate per annum specified in the Fee Letter, computed on the daily amount available to be drawn under such Letter of Credit on a quarterly basis in arrears. Such fronting fee shall be due and payable on the tenth Business Day after the end of each March, June, September and December in respect of the most recently-ended quarterly period (or portion thereof, in the case of the first payment), commencing with the first such date to occur after the issuance of such Letter of Credit, on the Letter of Credit Expiration Date and thereafter on demand. For purposes of computing the daily amount available to be drawn under any Letter of Credit, the amount of such Letter of Credit shall be determined in accordance with Section 1.06. In addition, the Borrower shall pay directly to the L/C Issuer for its own account the customary issuance, presentation, amendment and other processing fees, and other standard costs and charges, of the L/C Issuer relating to letters of credit as from time to time in effect. Such customary fees and standard costs and charges are due and payable on demand and are nonrefundable.
