Common use of Hum Modulation Clause in Contracts

Hum Modulation. This is the variation in the amplitude of a CW cxxxxxx xx the power line frequency of 60 Hz or its harmonics induced as a result of passing through the cable network. The HSAC guideline is defined by FCC regulation 76.605(a)(10), which requires that the peak-to-peak variation in visual signal level caused by undesired low frequency disturbances (hum or repetitive transients) generated within the system, or by inadequate low frequency response, shall not exceed 3 percent.
