Identifying Defects. 33.1 The Engineer shall check the Contractor's work and notify the Contractor of any Defects that are found. Such checking shall not affect the Contractor's responsibilities. The Engineer may instruct the Contractor to search for a Defect and to uncover and test any work that the Engineer considers may have a Defect. 33.2 The contractor shall permit the Employer’s Technical auditor to check the contractor’s work and notify the Engineer and Contractor of any defects that are found. Such a check shall not affect the Contractor’s or the Engineer’s responsibility as defined in the Contract Agreement.
