Identity-Based Cryptosystem. The concept of an identity-based cryptosystem was proposed by ▇▇▇▇▇▇ (1984). There are two schemes in an identity-based cryptosystem. The first one is an identity-based encryption scheme (IBE) and the second one is an identity-based signature scheme (IBS). This section reviews a concept of both the identity-based encryption scheme (IBE) and the identity-based signature scheme (IBS). It also gives an example of an identity-based cryptosystem using bilinear paring.
