Common use of Illegal Work Stoppages Clause in Contracts

Illegal Work Stoppages. The parties to this Agreement mutually recognize and agree that the services performed by employees covered by this Agreement are services essential to the public health, safety, and welfare. Under no circumstances will the Union or its representatives cause or permit its members to cause any bargaining unit member to take part in any strike, sit-down, stay-in or slowdown in any department, or any curtailment of work or restriction of services or interference with the operations of the Employer.
