Common use of In-Scope Relieving Rate Clause in Contracts

In-Scope Relieving Rate. Any employee who is temporarily assigned to work in a higher paying classification for a combined total of more than eight (8) hours per calendar week shall receive the greater of the start rate of pay for the higher paying classification or eighty (80¢) cents per hour in addition to their regular hourly rate of pay, for all time so employed in the higher paying classification.
