Independent status of the CONSULTANT. In the performance of this Contract, the parties will be acting in their individual, corporate or governmental capacities and not as employees, partners, joint ventures, or associates of one another. The employees of one party shall not be deemed or construed to be the employees of the other party for any purpose whatsoever. The CONSULTANT shall not make any claim of right, privilege or benefit which would accrue to an employee under chapter 41.06 RCW, or Title 51 RCW.

Independent status of the CONSULTANT. 1. The parties will be acting as independent Consultants. The partners, employees, officers, and agents of one party will act only in the capacity of representatives of that party and not as employees, officers, or agents of the other party and will not be deemed for any purpose to be such. Each party assumes full responsibility for the actions of its employees, officers, and agents, and agents while performing under this Contract and will be solely responsible for paying its people. Each party will also be alone responsible for withholding and paying income taxes and social security, workers' compensation, disability benefits and the like for its people. Neither party will commit, nor be authorized to commit, the other party in any manner.

  • Independent Status of Contractor In the performance of this Contract, the parties shall be acting in their individual, corporate or governmental capacities and not as agents, employees, partners, joint ventures, or associates of one another. The parties intend that an independent contractor relationship shall be created by this Contract. The Contractor shall be responsible for all federal and/or state tax, industrial insurance, wages, benefits, or other compensation by or on behalf of the Contractor and its employees. The Contractor shall not make any claim of right, privilege or benefit which would accrue to an employee under chapter 41.06 RCW or Title 51 RCW.

  • Independent Status The employees, volunteers, or agents of each party who are engaged in the performance of this Agreement will continue to be employees, volunteers, or agents of that party and will not for any purpose be employees, volunteers, or agents of the other party.

  • RESPONSIBILITY OF THE CONSULTANT (a) The CONSULTANT shall be responsible for the professional quality, technical accuracy, and the coordination of all services furnished by the CONSULTANT under this contract. The CONSULTANT shall, without additional compensation, correct or revise any errors or deficiencies in its services. However, the STATE may in certain circumstances, provide compensation for such work.

  • Independent Monitors 8.1 The BUYER has appointed Independent Monitors (hereinafter referred to as Monitors) for this Pact in consultation with the Central Vigilance to as Monitors) for this Pact in consultation with the Central Vigilance Commission (Names and Addresses of the Monitors to be given).

  • Independent Consultant 13.1 In the performance of work or services hereunder, Consultant shall be deemed an independent contractor, and any of its agents, employees, officers, or volunteers performing work required hereunder shall be deemed solely as employees of contractor or, where permitted, of its subcontractors.

  • STATUS OF THIS AGREEMENT 4.1 This contract governs your engagement from time to time by the University as a casual worker. This is not an employment contract and does not confer any employment rights on you (other than those to which workers are entitled). In particular, it does not create any obligation on the University to provide work to you. By entering into this contract you confirm your understanding that the University makes no promise or guarantee of a minimum level of work to you and you will work on a flexible "as required" basis.   • INDEPENDENT PERSONAL SERVICES 1. Income derived by a resident of a Contracting State in respect of professional services or other activities of an independent character shall be taxable only in that State except in the following circumstances, when such income may also be taxed in the other Contracting State:

  • Engagement of Independent Review Organization Within 60 days after the Effective Date, Xx. Xxxxxx shall engage an individual or entity, such as an accounting, auditing, or consulting firm (hereinafter “Independent Review Organization” or “IRO”), to perform the reviews listed in this Section III.C. The applicable requirements relating to the IRO are outlined in Appendix A to this IA, which is incorporated by reference.‌
