Common use of Independent Status of the University Clause in Contracts

Independent Status of the University. The University Board is an authorizing body as defined by the Code. In approving this Contract, the University voluntarily exercises additional powers given to the University under the Code. Nothing in this Contract shall be deemed to be any waiver of the University’s powers or independent status and the Academy shall not be deemed to be part of the University Board. The University Board has provided the Department the accreditation notice required under Section 502.
