Common use of Information Safeguards Clause in Contracts

Information Safeguards. Business Associate will use appropriate safeguards to preserve the integrity and confidentiality of, and to prevent intentional or unintentional non-permitted use or disclosure of Covered Entity’s Protected Health Information, including in compliance with 45 C.F.R. § 164.530(c) and any other implementing regulation issued by the United States Department of Health and Human Services (“DHHS”).

Information Safeguards. Business Associate will develop, implement and maintain and use reasonable and appropriate administrative, technical and physical safeguards to preserve the integrity and confidentiality ofof Protected Health Information, and to prevent intentional or unintentional non-permitted or violating use or disclosure of Covered Entity’s Protected Health Information, including in compliance with 45 C.F.R. § 164.530(c) . Business Associate will document and any other implementing regulation issued by keep these safeguards current and furnish documentation of the United States Department of Health and Human Services (“DHHS”)safeguards to DETF upon request.
